Updated: Apr 19, 2022

Home Kit Sponsorship added in support for U's

Colchester United are delighted to reveal that Workhorse Group have extended their support of the club and will be the Primary Shirt Sponsor for the next two seasons.

Following a season as away shirt sponsors, the Essex and Suffolk based removal and storage specialists have extended their sponsorship of the club and will become Primary Shirt Sponsor.

Their name and logo will feature on the front and back of both Home and Away shirts for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

Speaking on the sponsorship deal, U’s Commercial Sales Executive Ben Conway said: "Over the course of the season, we have developed a fantastic working relationship with Simon and the team at Workhorse Group, who have shown an incredible amount of passion around all that we do at Colchester United both on and off the pitch."

"This partnership extension signifies Workhorse’s commitment to the club and their dedication to investing in their local community.

"We are delighted to expand our partnership with Workhorse and are looking forward to our relationship developing further throughout the course of the next two seasons.

"The new deal will see Workhorse’s branding becoming a prominent feature of a Colchester United match day, both at the JobServe Community Stadium and on the road.

"I want to thank Simon and everyone at Workhorse for the commitment shown to the club, we are excited to see the deal come into fruition between seasons and even more excited to see the Workhorse branding on the front of the blue and white stripes next season."

Workhorse Group’s Managing Director Simon Dickerson added; "It is not every day you sit in a room with another organisation and your ethos aligns, your vision is shared and the passion shines through."

"We at Workhorse Group are proud supporters of the U’s and are excited to be able to sponsor them over the next two years.

"#Together we stand United in support of the team on the pitch and alongside the incredible work both Colchester United and Football in the Community do on a daily basis, getting involved and supporting them in educating tomorrows Generation.

"We wish Wayne Brown and the team every success for the remaining games of the season."

As mentioned by U’s Chairman Robbie Cowling in a previous statement, Colchester United will be wearing the iconic blue and white stripes once again next season.
