WH SHORT Removals and Storage are a family run removal company and have been moving our community since 1974.
Our experienced crews specialise in local and long distance moves. As part of the WORKHORSE GROUP, ALL of our moves are carbon neutral through our partnership with Ecologi.
WH SHORT offer a number of storage solutions in Essex and Suffolk. From single items to complete properties - with both short and long term options available.

Are you in a property and have a large item you would like in a specific room but there is no way it will go through that door way or up the stairs? We partner with a number of companies who have the required equipment - whether a window out or a hoist is required we will do our best to make your requirements a reality!

What we do differently
You’ll see the services we offer, you’ll note how we’ve been moving with customers since 1974. But what do WH SHORT do differently? As a family business we are proud to care about the community we serve, we employ from our community which includes the Garrison City of Colchester, and we also support the next generation of workforce coming through.
TALK IS CHEAP, ACTION WINS THE DAY
WH SHORT are proud to demonstrate our support for the Armed Forces Community by signing an Armed Forces Covenant. In doing so we recognise the value that serving personnel, both regular and reservists, veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.
We support the employment of veterans, recognising military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process; working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to support the employment of Service leavers.
